How three-stage filtration works
Each stage is built to take one job off the next. Get the sequence right and final filters last longer, fans draw less power and components wear slower.
Takes the bulk load of sand, lint, insects and scale so the expensive stages downstream don’t choke on it. The cheapest filter in the system, and the one that decides how long the others last.
Where efficiency is won or lost: fine dust, pollen, spores and wear metals. Media area is sized to your flow, so resistance stays low for the whole service life.
The last line before your process, your cleanroom or your servo valve. Sub-micron media for bacteria, smoke and silica fines, with efficiency that is tested rather than assumed.
How we make them
Every Tri Link filter goes through the same four steps on our floor, whether it’s a one-off prototype or a production run of thousands.
Glass microfibre, synthetic or cellulose, chosen for the particle, the fluid and the operating temperature.
Pleat height and spacing set so the whole media area works. More surface means lower pressure drop and longer life.
Frames, end caps, cores and seals bonded to standard sizes or your drawing, down to the gasket profile.
Efficiency, pressure drop and seal integrity are checked before a filter leaves the floor.

Standards
Efficiency means something only when it’s measured the same way every time. These are the tests our ratings refer to.
Grades filters by the share of PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 they capture. ePM1 80% means 80% of PM1 stopped.

Classifies HEPA and ULPA filters at their most penetrating particle size. H14 must stop at least 99.995%.

The multi-pass test behind the β ratio. β = 1000 means one particle in a thousand gets through: 99.9% efficiency.

Counts particles ≥ 4, 6 and 14 µm(c) per millilitre. Servo-valve systems typically target 16/14/11.
